The Meridian Valuation Group is a real estate appraisal consulting company that provides appraisal and appraisal consulting services throughout the Silicon Valley, including all portions of Santa Clara County, southern Alameda County, southern San Mateo County, and Contra Costa County.  We also provide service in the following Central Valley Counties; Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus County.

The Meridian Valuation Group
has been organized not only as a commercial business, but as a training facility for new appraisers, teaching strict compliance with USPAP Standards. The purpose of this organization is to serve as a model of professional appraisal practice and ethical conduct, in order to promote and maintain a high level of public trust in our profession. We have put these principles and standards of practice ahead of our profits since our inception in 1983.

The company was founded in San Jose in 1983 by John W. Hibbard, the current owner and senior appraiser. In 1996 we purchased the office that is our present location at The Alameda at Highway 880.

Mr. Hibbard has special expertise in this area, and extensive consulting experience with more than 20 California banks. Mr. Hibbard has been educated by the Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation, and is one of a small group of appraisers nationwide who have been designated by the Appraisal Qualifications Board as Certified Instructors of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice [USPAP].
