OUR SENIOR APPRAISER:

John W. Hibbard, the co-owner and Senior Appraiser of THE MERIDIAN VALUATION GROUP is a Certified General Appraiser in the state of California. He is also one of only 450 appraisers certified by the Appraisal Qualifications Board to teach the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). 

Over the course of the past three decades, Mr. Hibbard has personally developed  more than 10,000 field reviews of residential appraisals and since 1988, he has performed more than 2,000 USPAP and FIRREA compliance reviews for numerous federally regulated banks. 

Mr. Hibbard has served as an appraisal compliance review consultant to the California Office of Real Estate Appraisers and has also consulted with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco regarding appraisal compliance. 

Mr. Hibbard teaches the USPAP, and conducts  appraisal compliance seminars for real estate professionals, ranging from short talks presented in company office meetings, to full day compliance training for officers of regulated lending institutions.
